Hi, I would like to set up the latest version of GNOME on my debian 2.1 (slink) box. However I do not know what is the best way to go about it. Can someone please point me to the best way to install gnome without using apt. Would the it be best for me to use apt (as described on the gnome pages) or are there any official debian packages for the latest gnome deb's if so what else will need upgrading.
