I remember I had some problems with some 3com, because of the PnP. I remember I had to find their drivers and *_disable_the_PnP_*. After this Win98 (from the win98 CD) drivers were not working with the card, but Linux and FreeBSD were perfect. There were also Win98 drivers from the net for cards with disabled PnP.
