Your ISP requires PAP authentication: that authentication is failing. That may be because you have configured ppp wrong or because your password is incorrect. IF you set up ppp with pppconfig post /etc/chatscripts/provider, /etc/ppp/peers/provider, and /etc/ppp/pap-secrets (edit passwords, of course).
