Please post the *exact* message, along with complete copies of the relevant config files and logs. Pppd sometimes gives an erroneous error message to the effect that the kernel does not support ppp. > i am using the fv2wm X interface. Irrelevant. How did you configure ppp? Did you use pppconfig?
