for a cdrom: mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /cdrom
for this to work there must be an empty directory /cdrom and there must be the device /dev/cdrom do an ls to make sure these are there. If /cdrom does not exist: mkdir /cdrom If /dev/cdrom does not exist: ln /dev/hdc /dev/cdrom Will probably work if it is an IDE cdrom and you don't have more than one hard drive. for a floppy: mount /dev/fd0 /floppy for this to work you must also have a device /dev/fd0 and an empty direcotry /floppy. The device should certainly be there. If the "mount point" is not mkdir /floppy. Your done.
