Just make sure not to remove the one you're currently using, that could cause problems ;) i'd recommend keeping at least one old one installed, especially when upgrading, and setting lilo to be able to boot it in case the new kernel won't work. You may even have this already available, check your /etc/lilo.conf. # Backup kernel, just in case the primary doesn't work. image=/vmlinuz.old root=/dev/hda1 label=oldLinux read-only - -- finger for PGP public key. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.3ia Charset: noconv iQCVAwUBOB6Csb7M/9WKZLW5AQHb6QQAlLZvNn0W/ESVRA+VnyXzBJd8I9Xcgh84 /i341P+F2Tce19SqGsvFJc1mSdRZWr/LygvHVwvqfb5T4R8WgvOyt3eS1Ufm8vPq 1E/3duFMVvAn2pJJp00JBC8gZlqQ4yFn6TXZFFovtqckisBVw5bZP+QxoV2yYsen hyUdXhC2t30= =wR7c -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
