Something besides X is broken. ld.so is the dynamic linker. ld.so should be a symlink to ld.so.1.9.10. I can't imagine that the X packages are trying to modify the ld.so.* files. I did not have any problem with those X packages when I used them. Are other packages being upgraded besides the X packages? Add the following to your /etc/apt/apt.conf to make apt show what packages are going to be upgraded: APT::Get::Show-Upgraded "true"; -- Brian Servis -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mechanical Engineering | Never criticize anybody until you Purdue University | have walked a mile in their shoes, [EMAIL PROTECTED] | because by that time you will be a http://www.ecn.purdue.edu/~servis | mile away and have their shoes.
