Hi, in my computer is a ATAPI IDE CD-writer (and another CDROM). But cdrecord -scanbus finds only my scsi hard disk. In lilo.conf there is a line append="hdb=ide-scsi hdc=ide-scsi"
dmesg: ... Kernel command line: auto BOOT_IMAGE=Linux ro root=802 hdb=ide-scsi hdc=ide-scsi ... scsi1 : SCSI host adapter emulation for IDE ATAPI devices ... There is nothing else about hdb and hdc. lsmod: ... ide-scsi 7680 0 ... modprobe -r ide-scsi modprobe -a ide-scsi gives no message, but lsmod gives the same result as above. What can I do that the CD-writer is recognized as a scsi-device? Or is there another way to make the CD-writer work? I have installed woody with the kernel 2.4.18-k7. Best regards, Vera Friederichs
