One option is a current ALSA: http://www.alsa-project.org Or OSS: go to http://opensource.creative.com, grab a snapshot there and follow the instructions in the docs/README* file. The only thing to do different is the `make' part: use make INCLUDE=/usr/include/ so that it can find your kernel headers (you will need to have that package installed). HTH, Colin -- 14.
