Does anyone know how I can prevent the kernel from doing this device search? I can't seem to find where to turn it off in the kernel configuration.
I think this tpqic02 search is somehow preventing my sound card from functioning (even if it's not, I don't have a qic-02 tape drive, so I'd rather it didn't do the search). IRQ 5, DMA 1 is where my sound card is in isapnp.conf.
