.tar.gz is tar/gzipif the file is .tar.gz 99% of *nix systems will allow you to run :
tar -zxvf filename.tar.gz to untar/gunzip the file
since you already gunzipped it just use:
tar -xvf filename.tar (or tar -xf, or maybe even tar -x)
read the docs, it can be rather complicated to setup(patching the apache
source then there is all kinds of software/scripts/programs to install to
have 100% FP support.. i dont have a lot of experience installing anything
FP other then the source so i can'tn help ya much beyond that other then
telling you what i have installed..and contrary to what most people say the FP extensions to apache are quite
secure these days the permissions of the files etc etc are really good i
found a site with tons of apache+fp exploits but none worked on my
systems.nate
