I have a 3yr old who LOVES cds. He has destroyed more cds than I have and I have a hobby of getting AOL giveaways and nuking them... They make great coasters and frisbees.
At any rate, you can get what's known as a "modchip" so you can backup your own games (keep the originals in a safe or such location) and play the backups. Gettting the chip is easy, but installing it can be very hard as you can destroy your PSX if you're not careful. I had to find someone who could install it for me.
