With samba, you can get SMB-passwd and unix passwd synchroniced, when passwd is changed on samba-server. Then you can run make in /var/yp with cron. But if you want to use NT as master, there's no options avalable, unless M$ provides NIS server also. This is because passwords are in both systems crypted, with different way, and you can't get one from another. -- M.
