I would answer "no" to your question. I've done two slink to potato upgrades and it went very well. Of course the kernel is not upgraded automatically, so that needs to be done manually with dselect, or your favorite. Back-up all of your data from your home directory and your config files from /etc and give it a try. IMO potato is much nicer than slink. - Nate >> -- Wireless | Amateur Radio Station N0NB | "None can love freedom Internet | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | heartily, but good Location | Wichita, Kansas USA EM17hs | men; the rest love not Wichita area exams; ham radio; Linux info @ | freedom, but license." http://www.qsl.net/n0nb/ | -- John Milton
