I need to figure out how to set up ssh in such a way that ssh can be used without the user needing to enter a password. I apparently don't understand the required format of the .shosts command to achieve this. I have also used ssh-keygen, placed my public key in the auhtorized_keys file, started an agent (ssh-agent $SHELL) and used ssh-add to add my identity to the authentication agent, but doing
ssh localhost still requires me to enter a password. If anyone has a valid .shosts file I would greatly appreciate a snipping showing how they have it set up, or a pointer to an example file (which I havn't been able to find in the docs).
