I used partition magic 4 when it first came out. It worked fairly well, but I found that it would corrupt logical partitions made under linux fdisk. Basically it would change the partition type of the extended partition which would hide the logical partitions. And if I recall re-setting the partition type did not work. Don't know if that's been fixed or not.
