I'm using Netscape475, exim(latest), fetchmail(latest), mutt(latest). Using
mutt, I send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and fetchmail gets it ok. Other people
send
mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED], and fetchmail gets it ok. Netscape is configured with
movemail as the incoming mail server, and retrieves these messages from my
mailbox ok. But, if I use Netscape to send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED], fetchmail
pukes
with:

<snip>
SMTP> MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> SIZE=899
SMTP<501 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: dommain missing or malformed
SMTP>RSET
SMTP<250 Reset OK
SMTP<220 debian ESMTP Exim 3.12 #1 Mon, 28 Aug 2000 21:00:33 -0500
SMTP>HELO localhost
SMTP<250 debian Hello debian [127.0.0.1]
SMTP>MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
SMTP<250<[EMAIL PROTECTED] is syntactically correct
SMTP>RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
SMTP<501<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: domain missing or malformed
flushed
<snip>

and deletes the message. "michael" is my local login.

But, if I configure Netscape's incoming mail server as POP and check the mail at
3rvs.com I can retrieve it without problem. <argh> I have three email accounts I
need to check, which is why I'm using fetchmail.

Any idea what my fetchmail problem is?

tia,

Michael Heyes
