Has anyone had a go at porting Dan Bernstein's "pty" program to Linux? The latest I found was Oct 1990, in the comp.unix.sources archives, and it's pretty out-of-date. There were a _LOT_ of configuration options, and it wasn't at all clear to me how best to handle them for a Debian installation.
I know I could use expect to get somewhat similar behavior, but I'd prefer to use pty if possible as it's simpler and lighter-weight (as far as I can tell). Anyone ported pty to Linux, or thinking of packaging it for Debian? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul D.
