Twice in the last week I've woken up to a locked-up dead potato machine and had to hit the power switch. I happened to have a window at work logged in to my home machine, and found these messages showing that it probably died at 5am due to a kernel panic.
Does anybody know what this means and why it would happen in the middle of the night? The debian cron jobs don't start until after 6am.
