Hi I am a newbie, so I can not tell you why, only what I did. I added "deb http://kde.tdyc.com potato kde2" to the /etc/apt/sources.list Then I did a "apt-get update && apt-get install" and in dselect I did an (U)pdate and then I said yes to all dependencies when in select.
