i've just spent over 5 minutes searching for ISO images on the debian
website. this is a long time for web browsing!

i'd like to burn the r1 (or upcoming r2) version of debian 2.2's ISO. the
problem is, the ftp sites have snapshots of the disks, but i can't find any
sites that hold ISO images of the disk, ready for burning. surely they must
exist somewhere on the net?

i went to linuxiso, and they still have the r0 images.

also, this is from http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/:

Potato has no point releases yet. However, a Debian 2.2r1 is being
planned
with improvements in the installation system and other critical updates.

and this is from http://www.debian.org/News/2000/20001114:

A new update of the Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 release (aka 'potato') has been
released. The new release, version 2.2r1, includes both security
updates and
fixes to important bugs in the stable distribution tree.

it sounds like someone needs to update the webpage.... ;)
