I've had the GIMPS prime-net package installed on my system here, it appears that it's been unable to communicate with the central server since I set up a firewall last summer. On connecting to the GIMPS server, I get, e.g.:

ERROR: Primenet error 1
The FAQ at http://www.entropia.com/ips/faq.html may have more
information.
The FAQ, naturally, has no useful information, suggesting I've got a DLL
problem (hmmm...). I've no idea what port(s) are being used for this
transfer. Or if it's the firewall, but it seems like a good bet. Any
ideas?
