HD Memory is only used for storing your programs,
RAM on the other hand, is used for storing the memoryspace required by
programs

Hence more RAM will improve performance a LOT. If you're system can handle
it buy 133Mhz ram with cas2, not 133Mhz ram with cas3 this is muuch slower
than cas2 type ram.

Also, if you are bying a harddisk make sure it has a high RPM this will
result in sweet responsiveness from your machine. Also, check out some of
the sites like tomshardware.com or anandtech.com to know wich harddisk is
good for you. The ibm 75GXP disks are notoriously good.

I must add that i'm little afraid that you will find it hard to find a disk
with just a 'few' gigabyte, if you buy it new you'll find 20GB the
'minimum'.

cya,

Joris

Subject: HD & RAM

Do HD memory does change the eficience or the speed of my computer ?
Because I`m thinking about to buy a computer with only 2 or 3
gigabytes of
HD, for to have more money to buy RAM memory, 128 or 256 megas.
