Two things, Robert. Make sure that autofs is built into your kernel. And to start off, use a copy of /etc/auto.master.dpkg-dist and /etc/auto.misc.dpkg-dist into /etc/auto.master and /etc/auto.misc to get you going with a good example. I would make one change, however. In /etc/auto.master, change /var/autofs/misc to /misc, leaving the rest of the line as is. This should give you the ability to automount both your cd and floppy. You may also have to "mkdir /misc". Good luck. -mk
