No. *Don't* modify X access permissions with xhosts. It's horribly insecure. Rather where $NEWUSER is the su'd user and $OLDUSER is the user the X session is running under: # as $NEWUSER $ xauth merge ~$OLDUSER/.Xauthority ...or as $OLDUSER copy .Xauthority to $NEWUSER. -- Karsten M.
