I'd like to install Sendmail on my 2.2.r2 system from source from sendmail.org. However, I don't know how to uninstall exim, because Debian is complaining that MTA must exist on system. So my question is: what to do if I'm accustomed to install latest versions of programs from their original source? Is this possible at all with Debian or we have to wait that corresponding package maintainer prepare new version for us?
