disk1 should be hda ( controller on mb ) disk2 is hde disk3 is hdc ( controller on mb ) disk4 is hdg > This way, you use more disks, but you gain much more reliability without > much speed loss. Using one drive per cable, you'd need two controllers too. > > Mike
