A second stand-alone computer with a Epson Stylus Color 860 connected to the usb port is still not working. The stcolor.ppd and lpinfo are missing.
Used apt-get install to install cupsys and cupsys-bsd. This solved all
my problems with a a Brother HL-730 laser printer on a parallel port.
