As I mentioned, the only problem I had initially was with sound on QuickTime, and that was fixed when I copied over the QT stuff from my previous experiments to the /usr/lib/win31/ directory. This might be fixed in the marilatt w32codec debs...dunno.
What "QT stuff" is necessary?
This answer your question??
No... I know quite well how to get mplayer itself to work, I just can't get audio in QuickTime.
Here is a list of files that I copied from the old /usr/lib/win32 directory on another machine.
QuickTime.qts QuickTimeEssentials.qtx QuickTimeInternetExtras.qtx qtmlClient.dll
Grab the QuickTime 6 dlls from: http://ftp.lug.udel.edu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
I am pretty sure that is where they came from...
