Perhaps that's what I want, but I'm 99% certain I apt-got something that does this, and lame isn't apt-able (well not from normal sources) :Better is to use the ogg format instead of mp3. Ogg is free. :It is also said to be technically better. Install vorbis-tools. I did run across that, where "technically better" == lossless For my current streaming purposes I converted the files to realaudio (even worse than mp3 from a freesoftware perspective), I'll need to review ogg support in main stream clients before comitting... And it hurts my brain that I did this less than two weeks ago and can't find the tool I used. -Jon
