A really beautiful app for LaTeX documentation in texdoctk. It provides a centralized menu for all of the documentation and opens all of the documentation files regardless of whether they are tarred, as dvis, etc. I could find documentation there that I didn't even know I had. Unfortunately, texdoctk is only availble for woody and sid for the time being.
I just tried something really cool, though, that works with woody and might work in potato. I generally use lynx to browse gzipped documentation, because it opens the files up automatically, and you can move back and forth fairly quickly. I just tried opening a dvi.gz file and lynx automatically opens it in xdvi.....neat! Make sure you have lynx installed and just enter: lynx filename That should do it. -Glen
