Replying to myself, I've found http://ferret.lmh.ox.ac.uk/~pdw/wmphone/ and http://gnutalk.sourceforge.net/ . Well I just have to create packages from them I guess. (And hope gtalkd doesn't have a security hole since it's not in debian stable....). I'm still eager to hear of a better (more secure) solution.
