Why do you need a GUI for an essentially plain-text application? When I first switched to doing my email under Linux, as an ex-Outlook Express user, I looked for a nice GUI client too. As of a few months ago, there weren't any really good ones in my opinion, although Sylpheed (http://sylpheed.good-day.net) was fast developing into perhaps the best of the bunch. I ended up settling on Mutt running in a terminal window, using fetchmail for background retrieval, procmail for filtering, and exim for outbound transport. This is the most flexible, powerful, and easy to use mail setup I've ever had, even if I can't drag messages around with the mouse. Craig
