problem with wvdial

Hi!

i have some problem with wvdial (debian, potato, 2.2.19)

Ask Password = 1
Password = 

but i get no prompt, why?

Only if enter password in wvdial.conf get i connect to internet, but 
password in wvdial.conf is't the good idee :-(((
