VideoLan was the only one I could get to work easily (there's a .deb somewhere for the css library, and once that's in it'll play encrypted DVDs. It works great- my only complaint (aside from the lack of menus/subtitles, which is minor) is that the sound is very tinny and noisy compared to windows-based DVD players. My guess is there's some sort of problem handling Dolby Digital encoding, because it's present in every audio-output plugin I've tried. -- Geoffrey M.
