I'm running a Samba server, and I have set up the shared directories that they have their own samba user name and group name. I also have the sticky bit turned on on the top most directory.
If I understood it correctly, this should result in all directories and files below this folder to inherit the user name and group. Am I right? Unfortunatly if I create (e.g unzip) files in one of the directories they end up with my user name and group, thus I cannot access them from my other machines accessing the shares as the samba user. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks in advance! regards, Balazs
