I too am running testing, and have had this prob in the past and have ignored it ... lately, some of these seem to have been resolved by running update-menus; others ... (like, oddly vim ... a recent development) remain.
You can edit the menu files by hand, of course, butcha hafta -find- 'em first. And there are menu-editing packages for some of the WMs - icewm, for example.
