I recently set my syslog to display on tty8 (the neat things you can learn on this list (-:) and It revealed an error I had previously not noticed: modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-226 My box seems to be running just fine without it, but it is true, when I look through /etc/modutils/aliases, there's no mention of it. Anybody know what it is, it's likes and dislikes, so forth? Not top priority, like I said things seem fine, but I am curious. TIA, Steve -- All work and no pay makes a housewife.
