Hello list, I have a Debian 2.2r4 running 2.4.16. Everything is fine, but I fail to connect to localhost.
Then network configuration is ok, since it can communicate to the internet. But when I type: ethome:~# telnet localhost 25 Trying 127.0.0.1... The connection hangs for a while, but I am sure the smtp daemon is ok because incoming connections are alive. This problem exists on all localhost connections. This is weird because I DO have a lo device: ethome:~# ifconfig lo lo Link encap:Local Loopback UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:12 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:12 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:3936 (3.8 Kb) TX bytes:3936 (3.8 Kb) ideas? -- Patrick Hsieh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
