For a few months now I haven't been able to install the GCC documentation. This is most annoying. However, there is no bug filed so I'm wondering if maybe I've just got something broken?
Here's what happens: # apt-get -s install gcc-doc Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... I can't see anything in the gcc-doc info that leads me to believe it should remove the rest of the stuff: # apt-cache show gcc-doc ... Source: gcc (2.95.2-20) Version: 1:2.95.2-20 Replaces: gcc (<=2.7.2.3-4.3), egcs-docs (<< 2.95), gcc-docs (<< 2.95.2) Provides: egcs-docs Conflicts: gcc-docs (<< 2.95.2), egcs-docs (<< 2.95) ... OK, so replaces gcc <= 2.7.2.3-4.3, but I don't have that, and there's no conflict with the other stuff, so what's going on? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul D.
