which 2.4.x kernel? ive read of problems with rt8139 cards on some 2.4.x kernels ..i also remember reading about a new rt8139 driver(?) in 2.4.x in addition to the "older" one .. try reocmpiling with another driver .. i only use 2.2 kernels..rt8139 works good :) nate
