I get same error. I'm using woody. There is bug filed: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=129009&repeatmerged=yes If you gunzip /usr/share/texmf/doc/latex/geometry/geometry.dvi.gz first, texdoc will work. -- Jerome
