I've just discovered this by accident. If I nfs mount another linux PC running woody, and that PC has a native windows 98 file system mounted under /98, then it is automatically seen and browseable as the nfs mounted file system. This surprised me. It isn't the case for the other linux filesystems, just the vfat.
