Not only that, but it's a good idea to keep the old RH partition around so you can get all your network settings, configuration files (your whole /etc tree). If you have a separate /home partition, you can also just reuse it (possibly changing UID and GID as you want). If you have one big partition, you can just use resize2fs (after doing a backup, of course). I seem to remember that you can get the number of blocks from various partition management programs.
