I have a Compaq Presario 2520. When I try to load the vesafb module,
I always get an error:
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/video/vesafb.o: init_module: No such device or
address
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO
or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/video/vesafb.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/video/vesafb.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.20/kernel/drivers/video/vesafb.o: insmod vesafb failed

Of course, there is no info in dmesg nor in /var/log/syslog.

I need the vesa framebuffer as the vga16fb will only show a small
window in the middle of the screen.

I don't know where to start to solve this. A search on the net gives
nothing. Any pointer would be nice.

Thanks
