if you ask me, the old 16bit ISA cards, the ones that actually provide speaker out, not only line out, are still the best and true soundcards. i almost exclusively use them, if i can get my hands on them. they sound perfectly if you ask me, and they simply work with standard drivers. none of that offloading stuff to the CPU and requiring special drivers for WinSoundCards, they just work. it's beautious! but, society clearly says that 32bit must be better than 16bit, even though they can't even hear the difference... oh well... -- martin; (greetings from the heart of the sun.) \____ echo mailto: !#^."<*>"|tr "<*> mailto:" [EMAIL PROTECTED] nobody expects the spanish inquisition. -- monty python
