Unstable problem??? I can log longer run gimp-1.2 on a plain X (eg, using
startx or *dm) it just crashes, if run from the gnome menu it displays the
splash screen for a second then it disappears. If run from a terminal
(aterm/xterm) it shows the splash screen then the terminal brings up a
debugger type window.
HOWEVER: If I run it via Xnest it works fine, no hassles.
At first I thought it was the multiscreen but its not that, then I thought
the windowmanager (I had changed from blackbox to windowmaker before it
started happening) but it dosnt seem to matter what window manager it is.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what can be done to fix it, its a
neusense having to run a Xnest, and then if I want to access another
window and shade Xnest, Xnest crashes (dont know the error it gives...
only with gimp running however)

XFree86 version 4.1.0-14
ALSO just upgrade to the lastest in the package lists (1.2.3) and now all
I get it 'gimp: fatal error: Segmentation fault' repeated, and it wont
exit unless sent a SIGKILL (9)
Any help will be appreciated.
