Within the last few months (maybe as much as a year). I've been noticing
changes in how RH operated. There seems to be a big push on their side
for "subscriptions". All of it reminds me way too much of the Microsoft
mentality that I left. Couple that with the maintainence headache of
trying to keep RH boxes current (even within a release) and their bloated
base install. I've got a basic firewall with 1 gig of RH crap installed
by default (no X), and I just migrated my mail/file server to Debian and
have ~500 megs of stuff installed (with X). I just really can't see much
of a place for RH other than a temporary transition point for users coming
from Windows to Linux.
