Last week I had noticed Cut'n'paste had stopped working, nothing could
be pasted from other programs.
This morning I finally got tired of it, and tried to find out what was
wrong.
So I started xchat, connected to a server, then if I try to paste
something from the output of connecting to the server, before having
joined a channel, xchat crashes with;

Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C

Gdk-WARNING **: Error converting icon name to text property: -2

Gdk-WARNING **: Error converting icon name to text property: -2

Gdk-ERROR **: file gdkselection.c: line 331 (gdk_string_to_compound_text): assertion failed: (property.encoding == gdk_atom_intern ("COMPOUND_TEXT", FALSE) && property.format == 8)
aborting...

( /etc/environment :  LANG=en_DA )

LANG=C is now set in /etc/environment again, and cut'n'paste works again. I'm not quite sure why I had changed this..
