-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello,
I'm trying to install emacs on a server and I get the following: jw:/# apt-get install emacs21 Reading Package Lists... Building Dependency Tree... The following extra packages will be installed: emacsen-common libfreetype6 libjpeg62 libpng2 libtiff3g xaw3dg xfree86-common xlibs zlib1g The following NEW packages will be installed: emacs21 emacsen-common libfreetype6 libjpeg62 libpng2 libtiff3g xaw3dg xfree86-common xlibs zlib1g 0 packages upgraded, 10 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded. Need to get 15.3MB of archives. After unpacking 49.3MB will be used. Do you want to continue? [Y/n] n I do _not_ want all that XFree86 stuff on my server. Other distros have an emacs-nox package, but I can't seem to find that. Does Debian not have an independant emacs package that doesn't depend on X? - -- - ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE89PQ8Q5u80xXOLBcRAiiJAKDUz3jszxUo0Xav/uaKa48nSE7E/gCfauzE 03/DMIU6so/W5koDph+UH+8= =6baY -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
